On July 4th OC was established. The composition of OC is strong sign of importance of Universiade for our country. The OC is real warrant of successful and smooth organization too. Only to stress this fact we should mention that the President of OC is Prime minister of Republic of Serbia, Mr. Mirko Cvetkovic and that the Honorary President is Mr. Borislav Bora Stankovic.
At the first, constitutive meeting of OC some very important decision were made:
To countersign the Attribution contract for 25th Summer Universiade by the President of OC, signed in Innsbruck on January 12th;
Adoption of Draft Budget of 25th Summer Universiade 2009 in Belgrade;
Approval of the decision of NUSF to establish “UB2009” d.o.o as company with the competence to run all Universiade related matters
Establishing the Executive Committee as executive part of OC and managing Board of UB2009 Company.
Between two meetings of OC one member of OC has been changed. Due to his retirement, Mr. Darko Ribnikar, former general managerof Politika has been replaced with new General manager Mr. Srdan Janicijevic.
Next meeting of OC is scheduled for the first half of February 2006.
